Intern/Resident’s Corner

Michigan osteopathic residents are the future of our state’s medical profession and Michigan is fortunate to have the largest number of osteopathic postdoctoral trainees in the country.  We hope that all interns & residents in Michigan will become involved in the Michigan Osteopathic Association (MOA) and namely on the MOA’s Intern and Resident Committee. The MOA Intern-Resident Committee is a free-standing committee of interns and residents within the MOA who participate in all MOA activities and functions.

We kicked off the year with our 1st meeting at MSU Macomb where we had keynote speaker and Michigan Osteopathic Political Action Committee’s (MOPAC)  Chairman, Dr. Anthony Ognjan, discuss why it’s important to get involved in MOPAC and your future as a physician – if you can’t give your time, give your money, and if you can’t give money, give your time. More details to follow for a Intern/Resident Committee sponsored MOPAC event.

We’re now on Facebook – “like” our page (Michigan Osteopathic Association Interns & Residents)!

Mark your calendars! I-R Committee meeting dates for the 2012 year include:

March 8, 2012
June 7, 2012

If you are interested in serving on this committee or would like further information, please contact SMadden@mi-osteopathic.org.
